The Park Service does nothing actively to help wildlife, but other agencies do -why?

•  29% of Federal public lands are controlled by the military – what happens to wildlife there?

•  Hunters pay to sustain wildlife; who pays for sustaining non-huntable wildlife like songbirds?

•  If a species like the gray wolf is numerous in one place but missing from another, how do we decide whether to protect it?

•  Water moves underground as well as on the surface – how does that change when we drill wells and divert streams, and what do we do about it?
